Once Upon A Time in Iran

When George Bush Jnr was threatening war with Iran, this film was a warning to him. It follows a group Iranians on a pilgrimage to Karbala, the source of a story that has galvanised Iranian politics for hundreds of years. It is a road movie featuring presidents and pilgrims: a journey into Iraq to the contested heartlands of Shia Islam and a 1400 year old murder that divides the Muslim world.
