"The experience of playing Lady Macbeth with Anthony Sher 2000-2001 was so intense that when we were asked to revise it last year for the filming of Michael Woods's series, it was like going back into a terrible time warp, like the poor Macbeths themselves reliving and reliving the terrible scene of murder. Luckily it only took half an hour or so and we went out to lunch outdoors in the garden of the Dirty Duck and to regain a sense of normality with the other actors from the series."
